Full course description
Students will learn through interactive online modules, approximately 30 minutes - 1 hour each, that have been carefully crafted by experts within each area. Topics include soils, vegetable gardening, entomology (insects), integrated pest management, and more!
At the end of this course, participants will be able to successfully care for all of the plants in their home or landscape, know how to identify plants that they find in the real world, and know how to sustainably manage plant and landscape care. All modules feature a theme of sustainability and were framed with climate change in mind to help our gardening practices adapt to our changing world.
There will be 2 lessons each week. Each lesson has an interactive module with knowledge checks, and a 5-question quiz to accompany it.
After completing all the modules, there will be an optional opportunity to complete a garden project. There is also a final exam to complete the course.
